Today is a day of lessons...
Today I was with a friend who’s day was not going as well as it could. We ordered breakfast and two times her meal came out with things that she didn’t request (and actually could not eat).
We were taught that impeccability in speech is important.
Saying EXACTLY what it is that you want, what you need and with no apology, gives the strongest and clearest communication that cannot be in any way misunderstood.
We went to order an uber, and both our apps weren’t working. AHHHH! How are we going to get to the airport? I noticed our neighbour – who I had briefly chatted with once, had a car. I asked for help and he offered to drive us. We made it to the airport with plenty of time to spare.
What we learnt: Just ask for what you need.
People are more than willing to help you if they can. But first you need to ask to even be able to receive.
Checking in. Security check. I got so riled. “I fucking hate that whole process, it’s fear-mongering bullshit!”
What I learnt: Refocus the energy into what is it that I can do that is POSITIVE to contribute to the world?
And so I sat and wrote this blog, to share!
I see that every moment can be a chance to learn. A chance to refine what it is that you are practicing.
When things aren’t going to plan, when I find myself getting frustrated, I have a chance to search for what it is that I can be grateful for. When I feel fear, I have a chance to face it and grow. When I am confronted with a person that ticks me off, I have a chance to practice patience, compassion and understanding.
I am realising more and more that resistance is a fuckin' headache! Why bother?
Instead of resisting or fighting these challenges, go with the flow. Learn. Be willing to be wrong. Be willing to be vulnerable. Be willing to have your world turned upside down. Be willing to leave your old beliefs behind.
Embrace life and all it's lessons. Let go. Step into your infinite potential. Be free!
What lessons are being presented to you today?
What situations are giving you a chance to practice what you have learnt?
