A Conscious Leader is by nature a visionary. Through your awareness of the need for positive change to happen in the workplace (and for that to ripple beyond into the world), you have to have a vision of something different. Now it's nice to have a vision, but how do go from simply having a vision, to placing yourself as an influential visionary?
In this blog I'm going to outline three tips that can take you from merely occupying a leadership role, to Conscious, visionary leadership, that inspires, empowers and influences a positive collective change.
Who do you need to be to create the changes you envision? What kind of person do you need to become? When I ask this question to my clients, I'm probing them to pinpoint the characteristics that they need to develop in order to succeed in making their vision a reality.
What this means is you need to figure out:
Your energy, mindset and behaviour need to be in congruency with the vision itself - so before doing anything, get clear on what exactly you want to create. And from here you can define this into sets of energy, thoughts and behaviours that support or display this vision.
And your energy, mindset and behaviour being in congruency with the vision itself, they should be in alignment with each other. That is, if you read over what you've written under your energy, mindset and actions of the visionary leader you desire to be, you should find that they support one another.
I go more in depth about Tip #1 in this blog here.
To become a more influential visionary leader, you must be the walking billboard of your vision, you must live your vision. What do I mean by that?
It means simply trying your hardest to live by the values, actions and behaviours that you want to create as the norm in your environment. Become the embodiment of a Conscious Leader who IS creating positive changes in the world.
Show the world what it means to be a Conscious Leader. Show the world what it means to live with kindness as your guide. Show the world what it means to be kind (or whatever other visionary characteristic you have here).
And not only BE the walking billboard of change, but Act As If, the changes you wish to create are already happening right now! When you do this, you start to see more and more evidence of how it really is unfolding, right now. This is a powerful way to create your vision faster!
There's more to this and I talk more about living your vision in this blog here.
If you want more people on board with what you do, share, share, share and share again! The more you talk about what you are creating (not what you want to, but what you are creating), the more that you will start to find people who support what it is you do. Not only does this mean you have that support, you can start to share with them some of the ways that you are already creating your vision (like by doing the two tips above!)
I also believe that by sharing, we give a powerful signal to the universe to give us more of what we desire quicker. We start to find aligned companions who help us with our vision. Opportunities rise "out of nowhere". Networks are created. Your word is powerful!
And it's equally important, as you are sharing your vision, to connect to it regularly. Because if you are not sure what it is that you want to create, or you have doubts about it, guess what? When you share it, you will also share the doubts and lack of clarity. So connect to your vision so much so that you get excited about it, at least every single day. So when you do share it, your shares are filled with inspiration and aliveness!
If you want to know more about connecting and sharing your vision, I wrote about this specific tip here in this blog.
So those are the three tips to becoming a more influential and visionary leader.
Out of these three tips, which one do you think is the are you most need to work on? Drop it in the comments and let me know if you have any questions!
And as always, I'm here for your constant evolution!
